Right of withdrawal

The right

You have the right to withdraw from your contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day after you, or a third party you name other than the carrier, takes physical possession of the goods. Where an order is delivered in several consignments, the period runs from the last one.

If we fail to tell you about this right, the withdrawal period is extended by 12 months.

How to withdraw

Tell us by a clear statement before the period expires. Email support@sockshousenl.baby or write to SOCKSHOUSE B.V., Larenweg 48, 5234 KA 's-Hertogenbosch, Nederland. You may use the model form below, but you do not have to. Sending the message before the deadline is enough — it does not have to reach us before the deadline.

Return the goods without undue delay and in any event within 14 days of telling us. Include your order reference so we can match the parcel to the order.

What we pay back

• The price of the goods returned.
• The cost of standard delivery on the original order. If you chose a more expensive delivery service, we refund the standard rate, not the difference.
• Refunds are made within 14 days of us being informed, using the same means of payment you used, at no charge to you. We may withhold the refund until we have the goods back or you show evidence of sending them, whichever is earlier.

Return postage is paid by you unless the goods were faulty or not what you ordered. We are telling you this before you buy, which is what the law requires; if we had not, we would have to pay it.

Trying them on

You may handle the goods as you would in a shop. For socks that means checking size, knit, cuff tension and terry height, and trying an unsealed pair on briefly over your own socks or on a clean floor. You are liable for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond that — a pair worn through a shift is not in a condition we can resell.

The exception: sealed multipacks

Under Article 6:230p sub f of the Dutch Civil Code, goods sealed for reasons of health protection or hygiene are excluded from the right of withdrawal once the seal has been opened after delivery.

On this site that exception applies to multipacks only. Multipacks are delivered in a sealed pack and are marked as sealed on the product page, in the cart, at checkout and here. If the seal is unbroken, you can return them like anything else.

Single pairs are not delivered sealed. A paper band or a swing tag is not a seal. The 14-day right of withdrawal applies to every single pair on this site in full, and we do not claim otherwise.

Faulty goods are a separate matter

Withdrawal is about changing your mind. If something is wrong with the product itself, that is a conformity question and different rules apply — including who pays return postage. See Garantie en conformiteit.
